The Volvo XC40 offers quite a punch in this compact luxury SUV, with 8.3 in ground clearance, 248 HP, and 0-60 in 6.1 Sec. Small but mighty is the term for the XC40 walking the line between compact and sub-compact size categories. This is also one of the most fuel efficient models in the list offering up to 30 MPG.
The Scandinavians really know how to trim up the interior to make the cabin a delight, and still offering a refined but rugged looking exterior. In addition you’re rewarded with a sure footed AWS system, soft and comfortable ride, and confident high riding seat position.
Volvo has never been known for high revving, hard cornering, race ready sports oriented models, rather Volvo excels with safe, comfortable and luxurious vehicles that get you there in style.
The XC40 is the compact SUV Crossover for the category but it is one of the smallest overall for storage, cabin room, and wheel base. This is very much mountain car for 2, with storage in the back for snowboards, coolers, and all your luggage. You may opt for a roof rack if you plan to carry skis over 175 cm.
Pricing is quite good and modest for the XC40 and I was able to design a build to suit my needs, and similar to others reviewed for only $49,000. Like the Acura RDX you get quite a good value for your luxury here at Volvo.
