Top 10 Utah Ski Resorts

Top of Snowbird Tram

Utah offers a wide selection of skiing experiences from ultra lux at Deer Valley, Steep and Deep at Snowbird and Alta, Family Friendly at Park City and Solitude, and go-go nightlife at Park City.

Utah is famous for is it’s abundance of high quality, feather-lite, deep snow. The Wasatch Mountain Range is located just down-jetstream from the Great Salt Lake creating a lake effect that amplify storms crossing the region. It’s not uncommon for skiers to get knee, waste, and even chest deep powder to fly through up in the Wasatch Range. In addition, Utah weather keeps the snow cold and in winter condition long past a snowfall, much like Colorado or BC. This ensures you have great skiing surfaces from Mid Dec – March.

Building a Top Ten Utah Ski Resorts List is challenging – as it really depends on what you’re looking for – so don’t be disappointed if your favorite resort is not at the top of the list.
