Steamboat offers the true feel of the West with its famous cowboy heritage. There is something magical about ski resorts with Western Towns giving you the sense of being transported to a different time and place – really making for a great vacation from our day to day lives. You may want to leave some room in the suitcase to bring back a dude jacket, cowboy boots or cowboy hat. I came very close to dropping about $1,000 on a very warm, fur insulated dude jacket – but fortunately I sobered up before breaking out my AMEX.
The ski mountain is tall and wide offering terrain for every level of skier. Expert and Advanced skiers will love skiing through the perfectly spaced aspen trees. Intermediate riders will soak up the miles of diverse groomed runs.
