Homewood Ski Resort Review

Homewood Ski Resort Trail Map

Homewood has one of the best vibes of any Lake Tahoe resort and offers a great sampling of terrain. Although the resort is small and low elevation, there’s some really great skiing on the upper lifts and runs. Homewood is an ideal setting for families to go out and ski together is a low key, and family friendly atmosphere. There are great tree cut runs for both intermediate and learning skiers.

Recently Homewood has added some backcountry experiences via their SnowCat Adventures. This really elevates the resort and attracts more advanced and adventurous skiers to the mix. Advanced and Expert skiers can also have some short shots at fun up on Quail Ridge, and a hand full of tree cut runs on Elles.

Lodging and accommodations are quite extensive and Homewood is deep into the “bedroom community” West Lake Tahoe region. You should check out Craigslist and VRBO to find some great cabins, or there are some smaller hotels throughout the West Side and Tahoe City which are all a short drive.
